18th century solid silver stew spoon, made between 1768 and 1774, in Paris.

Plain silver model, made between 1768 and 1774, in Paris.

Monogram, framed by a floral wreath, on the reverse of the spatula.

Discharge mark (head of a young man with a bun), as well as three other illegible marks.

The hallmark of a young man's head with a chignon = discharge hallmark used between 1768 and 1774, under the administration of the tax farmer Julien Alaterre. It was used on silver items with a fineness of 958/1000.

Condition :

In good condition, with numerous micro-scratches due to almost 300 years of use.

Model uniplat, en argent massif, réalisée entre 1768 et 1774, à Paris.

Monogramme, encadré d’une couronne de fleur, sur le revers de la spatule.

Poinçon de décharge (tête de jeune homme avec chignon), ainsi que trois autres poinçons illisibles.

Poinçon de tête de jeune homme avec chignon = poinçon de décharge utilisé entre 1768 et 1774, sous la régie du fermier général Julien Alaterre. Il s’insculpait sur les ouvrages d’argent au titre de 958 millièmes.
