18 ice cream or sorbet scoops, in solid silver and vermeil, from the Odiot company, dating from two different periods. The set was created between 1865 and 1906.

Ice shovels from the Odiot company, dating from two different periods. The set was created between 1865 and 1906. Made of solid silver and vermeil.

In the Louis XV style, the handles are decorated with rocaille and floral motifs.

The spatula, forming a delicate curve, is adorned with leafy scrolls.

 

Goldsmith's hallmark and Minerva 1st standard hallmark inside the bowl.

Master silversmith : Odiot

  • 13 ice shovels from the period 1865-1894 (hallmarked with the O and the antique oil lamp),
  • 5 ice cream scoops from the period 1894-1906 (hallmark applied when the company was run by Gustave Odiot, Émile Prévost and Paul Edouard Récipon. The hallmark retains the antique lamp but the "O" is replaced by "PRCie")

Condition :

There are micro-scratches due to age and use, and two ice shovels are slightly deformed.

Case in used condition, exterior split and torn. Interior in used condition.

Ecrin contenant 18 pelles à sorbets de la maison Odiot. L’ensemble en argent massif et en vermeil fût créé entre 1865 et 1906.

De style Louis XV, les prises sont à décor de rocaille et de motifs floraux.

La spatule formant un arrondi délicat se pare de rinceaux feuillagés.

Poinçon d’orfèvre et poinçon Minerve 1er titre à l’intérieur du cuilleron.

Le poinçon est marqué du O et de la lampe à huile antique.
- 5 pelles à glace de la période 1894-1906 :
Le poinçon fut insculpé lorsque la maison était dirigée par Gustave Odiot, Émile Prévost et Paul Edouard Récipon. Le poinçon conserve la lampe antique mais le « O » fut remplacé par « PRCie ».
