Article 8. - Delivery of the Order

8.1 Delivery Terms

Deliveries are made by carriers designated according to the country of delivery.

The customer is informed by email of the shipping date and the tracking number for their order.

In the event that the customer orders several products at the same time, MAHAUT BARBIER ANTIQUES reserves the right to split shipments. The customer will only be charged for processing and shipping costs for a single shipment.

If the customer is absent at the time of delivery, a delivery notice will inform them of the terms and conditions for storing and collecting their package.

In the event of an incomplete or incorrect delivery address, the customer will be responsible for the cost of resending the package.

The customer assumes full responsibility for the products upon receipt.

8.2 Delivery problems

Upon delivery, the customer is required to check the condition of the packaging of their parcel and the conformity of the products ordered. In the event of apparent damage, they are advised to refuse delivery of the parcel from the carrier. The customer must then notify the carrier and MAHAUT BARBIER ANTIQUES of their reservations.

MAHAUT BARBIER ANTIQUES cannot be held responsible for any delivery delays caused by the carrier.

For orders placed in mainland France that have not been delivered within fifteen (15) days of confirmation of the order by MAHAUT BARBIER ANTIQUES, the customer may cancel their order by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt.

In accordance with Article L. 216-2 of the French Consumer Code, the sale will then be considered terminated upon receipt of the registered letter, provided that delivery has not taken place before receipt of the letter.

8.3. Checking the Order upon arrival:

Where possible, the Customer is required to check the condition of the packaging and the Items upon Delivery.

They may make any reservations and complaints they deem necessary, or even refuse the package, particularly if the package is clearly damaged upon delivery and before it has been opened (for example, if you hear a noise of breakage inside). Such reservations and detailed complaints must be indicated to the delivery person and also sent to the carrier within ten working days, excluding public holidays, following the date of Delivery of the Products. In all cases, it is important to specify the reasons clearly, bearing in mind that a reservation such as “subject to opening the package” is not valid, but a reservation such as “package badly damaged, corner damaged at top left, taped” is an accepted reservation.

The Customer may also send a copy of this letter to Mahaut Barbier Antiques.
